Emergencies are life threatening situations that require immediate action: Call 911 for help

A crisis is a situation in which there may be a serious threat of danger to oneself or others. 
Take it seriously!  During a crisis, an individual's methods of coping are inadequate and this leaves the individual feeling overwhelmed.
